FAQ
What is the NC?
Naughty Curry is a collection of flavor-lovin' folks who either cook or taste (enthusiastically) Indian-spiced foodstuff, traditional or otherwise....
What are the spices that the NC 'plays' with?
Any spice associated with Indian cooking. There are many.
Is this an authentic Indian site?
Hell no. Think of this as Indian Cooking preschool. You can learn by playing around. There are no grades.
And graduation is optional. You see, using spices in the untraditional context the NC provides serves as a stepping stone to authentic Indian recipes.
How can curry be 'naughty'?
By not conforming to the rules of what 'curry' is thought to be.
We use the term "curry" here with irony (but definitely not sarcasm, heheh). Although in India "curry" refers to a spiced-up saucy dish, in the U.S. it usually has to do with the generic spice blend "curry powder," invented by the British to mimic Indian flavors. (Get used to the question, "Is there curry in this?")
How can I be a part of it?
As soon as you attempt any of the Naughty Curry recipes, you are part of it. Neat, huh?
If you have a recipe of your own that you think would fit in here, send it to us via email. lf we dig it, we'll post it, along with your name, link or email, and any commentary you might want to share.

The NC Guidelines for contributing a recipe:
- Stick with ordinary ingredients. No pre-bought spice mixtures, chutneys, or sauces. (i.e. curry powder, chaat masala, sambar powder, etc.)
- The focus is on the spicing, so we want to keep the rest somewhat simple.
- Use only as much oil/butter as necessary.
- Don’t get too gourmet on us.
- Remember: these recipes are for people with active lifestyles. Keep it under an hour.
